Elton John is recovering slowly after a health issue affected his vision.

The “Rocket Man” crooner wrote, “Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye.”

John added that while he is healing, the process is extremely slow, and it will take some time before his sight returns to the affected eye.He thanked all those who have supported him, “I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks.”The singer has been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home and feels positive about his progress in healing and recovery so far. This had made movement increasingly difficult. Doctors recommended surgery to ensure his full recovery and to prevent any potential long-term issues.”I will be undertaking a program of intensive physiotherapy that will ensure a full recovery and a return to full mobility without pain.,” shared John.In 2023, the 77-year-old had another health incident after taking a fall at his villa in Nice, France, and was briefly hospitalized. However, he was later discharged.His representative confirmed that after a precautionary visit to a local hospital for checkups, he was released the morning after he fell and was taken back home, in good health. In 2022, fans expressed concern over John’s health after tabloids circulated images of him in a wheelchair.He turned to Instagram to address the speculations, writing, “The true story is that I’m in top health, loving my shows and playing and singing at my very best.
